LAHORE: Ousted prime minister
Nawaz Sharif along with his family members on Wednesday appeared before the
court in the corruption case levelled against them.
Nawaz Sharif was accompanied by his daughter Maryam
Nawaz and son-in-law Muhammad Safdar to contest the corruption case filed by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
Media reports suggested that in today&
#8217;s hearing,
Nawaz Sharif&
#8217;s sons — Hassan and Hussain Nawaz– are expecte
d to be declared as Proclaimed Offenders.
Four more witnesses of the prosecution will get their statement recorded before the
court in today&
#8217;s hearing. And, Defence Counsel Khawaja Haris will cross-question them.
The NAB has filed cases against the Sharif family in three cases – Flagship Investment Ltd, London properties case, Al-Azizia Company and Hill Metal Establishment
The
court had indicted
Nawaz Sharif in all three cases. Sharif pleaded not guilty to all charges against him.
