ISLAMABAD: Premier Nawaz Sharif has instructed authorities to reopen the Pakistan-Afghan border immediately.

ted that recent acts
of terrorism had been traced back t
o Afghanistan but said that the long-term closure of the border would be against the cultural, historical and religious relationship b
etween the countries and would affect the economy and the people.
He announced that the decision to re-open the border was taken as a sign of goodwill and that A
fghanistan would assist Pakistan in its fight against militancy and terrorism.
Nawaz hoped that the Pakistan and A
fghanistan do not severe their ties and work together to rid both the countries of the bad omen that is terrorism.
